The Green Bay Packers must upgrade their wide receiver room for a better chance to make a deep playoff run next season, and they are suggested to look at the AFC West for reinforcements.
With one of their top receivers, Christian Watson, expected to miss a huge chunk of the 2025 campaign, the Green Bay Packers may want to trade for insurance in the form of Las Vegas Raiders’ Jakobi Meyers, per Joe Summers of FanSided.
“Someone like wide receiver Jakobi Meyers could be an intriguing option as well, especially after Christian Watson’s devastating knee injury that’ll keep him out for most of the regular season,” Summers wrote in his column.
“Jordan Love needs more weapons and Meyers is an accomplished receiver who’d immediately become a starter on this team,” he added.
Green Bay Packers’ Brian Gutekunst was spotted next to Las Vegas Raiders personnel
Green Bay Packers fans have started speculating about a potential trade after seeing Brian Gutekunst talking to Las Vegas Raiders personnel during the Senior Bowl practices.
Maxx Crosby has been floated as a trade target for Green Bay, and perhaps Jakobi Meyers could be considered by the team too.
Meyers posted his first 1,000-yard season as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024, as he took over the top wide receiver duties after the team traded Davante Adams to the New York Jets. The 28-year-old wideout is entering the final year of his $33 million contract in 2025.
