The Green Bay Packers are going to have a busy offseason on the practice field, and that will now include hosting a practice with the Seattle Seahawks in late August. The teams will face each other on the practice field ahead of their preseason game at Lambeau Field, giving both teams the opportunity to get more reps versus inter-conference competition.
Green Bay Packers Will Host Joint Practice As the Seattle Seahawks Come to Town for Preseason
On August 21, the Green Bay Packers won’t be the only team practicing at the Don Huston Center. The Seattle Seahawks will be there as well, as the two teams will have a joint practice ahead of the preseason matchup between the two teams, which is scheduled for August 23rd at Lambeau Field.
The Seahawks and the Packers will not face each other this upcoming season, but did meet for a Sunday Night Football clash in the Emerald City. Green Bay won the game in dominant fashion by a score of 30-13, with Josh Jacobs dominating early, Jordan Love turning out a solid performance, and the defense playing spectacularly.

Last season, when the Seahawks practiced with the Tennessee Titans, safety Julian Love commented on how players enjoy practicing against other teams.
“It’s a great change up. It kind of breaks the monotony of training camp, going against your own guys, you kind of know their style, so you’re more so playing to the person as opposed to the scheme. So just seeing new looks, new things, new cadences, I think that’s super important.
Both teams have big histories of success and will relish the chance to compete against winning competition. The Packers and the Seahawks are #1 and #2 in total wins by NFC franchises in the past 15 years. The 2025-26 versions of these two teams both feature young head coaches, namely Matt LaFleur and Mike MacDonald, looking to take their playoff-caliber squads to the next level.

Packers Prepared for Multiple Joint Practices in 2025 Offseason
While the Packers will welcome the Seahawks to Green Bay in late August, it won’t be the team’s first joint practice of the offseason. The week before, the team will be in Indianapolis to practice with the Colts. The practice is set for August 14th, two days before the pair of teams clash at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Packers played the Colts last season in Week 2 and won the game 16-10. It was a hard-fought game at Lambeau in which Malik Willis started the game at quarterback. Willis only threw the ball 14 times, while Jacobs toted the rock a whopping 32 times. While the offense piled up 261 rushing yards, the defense picked off Colts QB Anthony Richardson three times and did just enough to win.
The Packers will need all the preparation they can get ahead of their opening weekend matchup against the Detroit Lions.
