Fast forward to 2025, both parties are very happy with each other. Head coach Matt LaFleur has big plans for the tight end while Kraft himself is just so happy he is playing for the Wisconsin-based team.

“I landed right exactly where I needed to be,” Kraft said as quoted Packers reporter Weston Hodkiewicz.

“Green Bay, being the smallest city for a franchise to be in, happens to be the largest city I’ve ever lived in; very happy about that.”

Kraft easily fit in with LaFleur’s system. In his first season, he played all 17 games and started in eight of them. He finished with 355 yards ran and made two touchdowns.

His role improved in his sophomore season as he started in all 17 games.

Tucker Kraft wants to do more for Green Bay Packers

The 6’5 player enters the 2025 season hoping to become one of the team’s new leaders and this includes tweaking his playing style, as advised by LaFleur.

“I really want to take that upon myself this year to lead with my playstyle like I may have done last year, but also with more words, not just headbutts,” Kraft said.

“Going into our two-tight end packages with Luke this year, we’re gonna have to find ways to spread that wealth around because the tight end room, we’re gonna be relied on heavily this year.”

He first talked about his plan to become a vocal leader in the locker room after their team’s exit in the Wildcard round in the hands of eventual champions Philadelphia Eagles.

“Going forward, I’m gonna embrace everything that I’ve put in to this game and then take on a little bit more of leadership role, try to get people on the same wavelength I’m at. I feel like I have a lot to offer from that aspect.
