The Green Bay Packers starting offensive line could be one of the biggest question marks on this football team entering the 2024 season. It was shaky last season. David Bahktiari missed most of last season with an injury and was let go this offseason. He was one of the leaders on the offensive line unit over the years for this franchise.
One of the biggest battles in training camp on the offensive line this offseason will be the left tackle spot between Rasheed Walker and rookie Jordan Morgan. Rasheed Walker for now is projected to be the starting left tackle for the Packers.

Elgton Jenkins is projected to be the starting left guard, Josh Myers will be the starting center, Sean Rhyan will be the starting right guard, and Zach Tom will be the starting right tackle. The Green Bay Packers also lost Jon Runyan Jr. in free agency this offseason to the New York Giants.
Green Bay Packers Offensive Lineman Elgton Jenkins Drops In the Interior Offensive Lineman Rankings Heading Into 2024
Before last season, CBS Sports had Elgton Jenkins ranked as the eighth-best interior offensive lineman in the NFL. Before the start of the 2024 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers offensive lineman is ranked as the 14th best guard in the NFL.
CBS Sports Jeff Kerr gave his reasoning as to why Elgton Jenkins was ranked low on this year’s guard list compared to being ranked much higher a year ago:
“Jenkins is still one of the underrated guards in the league, not allowing a single sack in 2023. He allowed 22 pressures, however, as his pressure rate allowed was a career-high 4.2%. He took 522 pass-blocking snaps and made sure Jordan Love stayed upright.
If Jenkins didn’t play everywhere on the offensive line, his numbers would be better. When Jenkins plays guard, he is in consideration for being one of the top 10 guards in the league.”
The Green Bay Packers offensive line will need to be sharp this season to give quarterback Jordan Love time to throw and running back Josh Jacobs to run in between holes. Green Bay is not strong on the offensive line to begin with.
They will need Elgton Jenkins to be at his best on the interior this season. If he gets injured at all, they will be in trouble. The projected backup to Jenkins this season will be Royce Newman.
