Packers Rumors: Jordan Love Will Become Unbeatable If He Improves 1 Area of His Game, Per Analyst

The Green Bay Packers know and are glad that Jordan Love lived up to the lofty expectations that made the team take him with the 26th overall pick when the team still had Aaron Rodgers on the roster. His first full season as the Packers’ starting signal caller was so good that he had analysts making insane comparisons about how great his rookie campaign is.

While the expectations for Love is sky high, it’s also clear that he’s far from the complete package as a passer. While he still has a high ceiling when it comes to his peak as a passer, he can still make improvements in several aspects of his game to help him become a Super Bowl champion.

One analyst in particular thinks that Love focusing on one part of his game will help him become one of the NFL’s best men under center.

Analyst believes Jordan Love’s deep-ball accuracy is stopping him from becoming an elite QB

Lombardi Ave’s James Mastrucci recently published a piece that argued for the Packers to focus on building Love’s accuracy with deep throws will turn him into a difficult matchup for opposing defenses.

He pointed out that while it’s impressive that his 34.7% clip for pass attempts that went 25+ yards already puts him 15th in the league, improving it to 50% would make him a hard passer to contain.

He’s confident that Matt LaFleur is already working with his $220-million QB to make him a more well-rounded passer:

Even if Love is not able to get to the 50% mark, as noted above, getting better in this area should be expected with the guidance of head coach Matt LaFleur. The scheme employed by LaFleur is quarterback-friendly, and with the level of importance being placed upon the deep ball, you better believe that concepts to make this easier on Love have been and are actively being implemented as the start of the regular season grows near.

Love had a great debut campaign as QB1 last season, finishing 17 games with 4159 passing yards with a 64.2% completion rate, 32 TDs, and 11 picks. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine hi eclipsing these number if he manages to add a reliable deep throw to his passing arsenal.
