Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love in the first quarter in the Packers 34-13 over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. Reed has been the best Packers wide receiver this season and it looked as if he was going to be the main guy in the offense once again.
However, he only finished the game with six receptions for 28 yards receiving and one touchdown. The former Michigan State Spartans wide receiver could have done a lot more damage against a horrendous Cardinals defense, but Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs also got going in the Packers offense on Sunday.
Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Jayden Reed Is Proud Of Romeo Doubs
Everyone on the Packers roster wanted to show love and support for Romeo Doubs after he had a one-game suspension last week. Reed spoke very highly of his teammate after the game. He said to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:
““I’m proud (of) the way he played today. He played great today. He had some great energy out there. He made some big plays for us. … He was a huge piece of our win today.”
Reed is correct about this because the wide receiver unit is a cohesive unit when it comes to getting the job done week in and week out. One week Reed will have the big game and the next week Romeo Doubs or Christian Watson will have the big game for the Packers.
Romeo Doubs Game Stats
It was important for Romeo Doubs that he made an impact for the Packers against the Arizona Cardinals. Doubs caught three passes for 49 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter from Jordan Love and a 20-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.
There will be a point this season where Jayden Reed is making big plays for this offense once again. However, it was important for Reed and others to sacrifice for Doubs to make plays for the Packers offense.
