Looks like Elgton Jenkins is winning executives, coaches, and scouts as the Green Bay Packers guard has been named among the Top 10 best offensive lineman for the coming season.
The 29-year-old’s highest rank was #4 back in 2023 but he saw himself slip to no. 10 on the list last year. A great 2024 season had himself redeemed as many coaches and executives consulted by ESPN for their annual ranking sound optimistic about him.
Team officials voted their Top 10 players in each position and for the offensive lineman, it is Kansas City Chiefs’ Creed Humphrey who got the top spot. He was no. 7 from the year before.
ESPN wrote about Jenkins:
Not many players embody “positional flexibility” more than Jenkins, who can handle all five positions on the line.
He was drafted as a guard, only to fill in at left tackle when David Bakhtiari got injured, then swung over to right tackle for a stint and played mostly left guard last year — but Jenkins is slated to man the center position in 2025.
Jenkins improved by one spot with some execs suggesting he should be higher based on the way he is perceived around the league.
“The guy is so underrated,” an NFL coordinator was quoted as saying.
“Can play anywhere, tough, physical, smart.”

Jenkins is finding his groove back but there will be a major change in his role for the Packers soon.
Josh Myers left the team for the New York Jets and the plan is to go from a guard role to center. Will this affect his standing as one of the best OL or will his play dip again?

General manager Brian Gutekunst thinks he will excel at it. In fact, he believes he can be an “All-Pro center”.
“We feel he’s got a chance to be an All-Pro center,” the GM said back in March.
“We’ve talked about it a lot, how versatility plays into our offensive line and having guys that can move to different spots, and Elgton’s one of those guys who can play all five spots. So, he’s a luxury, but I’m excited to see what he can do at center, as well.”
