Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are entering the 2024 NFL season in a much different position than they started the 2023 campaign. Gone are the underdog and rebuilding titles that they carried so proudly last season. Now, they are viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the NFC.

Throughout the course of the NFL offseason, the Packers made a couple of huge moves in free agency and backed that up with an incredible 2024 NFL Draft.

New to the team are both star safety Xavier McKinney and running back Josh Jacobs. Both of those players are upgrades over what the Packers had last season, especially McKinney. Jacobs is an upgrade simply due to the fact that Aaron Jones could not stay healthy for most of the year.

All of that being said, the Green Bay Packers received a massive 2024 record prediction from Sports Illustrated’s Fan Nation analyst Bill Huber.

Huber wrote a prediction for each game on the schedule for the Green Bay Packers this season. When he finished all of his predictions, he had come to the conclusion that Green Bay will end up going 13-4 during the regular season.

“Admittedly, 13 wins seems extreme for a team with significant questions on defense, but the offense is equipped to overwhelm most defenses. For what it’s worth, in Year 2 with Aaron Rdogers, the Packers went 11.5.”

As Huber noted, the Packers have to prove that their defensive changes can work. New defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley is going to be much more aggressive, which will leave Green Bay more open to the big play. However, he’s focusing on getting sacks, making tackles for loss, and forcing turnovers.

If the defense can accomplish their goals, the Packers are going to be a very formidable team for anyone they face.

Offensively, the Green Bay Packers appear to have the potential to be one of the most dangerous in the NFL. Love came on strong last season and is expected to take another step forward in 2024. The weapons he has to work with are stacked at wide receiver, tight end, and running back.

Brian Gutekunst has done a great job of building the roster for the Packers. Whether or not they can win 13 games in the regular season remains to be seen, but it’s certainly plausible.
