A season ago the Green Bay Packers took an 11-6 regular season record into the Wild Card Round of the 2024 NFL playoffs, but ended up losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Phillies. It felt like the Green and Gold had a lot more left to offer, and one of their offensive leaders felt the same way. This has led to him focusing on the ultimate prize in 2025, lifting the Super Bowl trophy.

Last week Packers running back Josh Jacob reflected with Wes Hodkiewicz on his role with the team a season ago and goals for 2025. 2024 was Jacob’s first year with the team, as he signed a four year, $48 million contract that off-season. He ended up rushing for 1,329 yards, generated 15 touchdowns, and carried the ball 306 times, which was the sixth most in the league.
Despite the personal success, Jacobs felt like more was needed. He told Hodkiewsicz, “I feel like I had a good year, but I feel like I still left a lot on the table. For me, it’s just trying to come in and chase that No. 1 spot and raise a Super Bowl (trophy) at the end of the day. That’s the only thing that’s really on my mind.”
