Packers News: Coach Could Make Headlines During 2024 Season

The Green Bay Packers coaching staff will look to be in sync throughout the 2024 season. Head coach Matt LaFleur will be entering another season with Green Bay. Many fans were questioning the job he was doing last season when the team started 2-5.

They also questioned LaFleur when the defense was not playing well and he still kept Joe Barry around as the defensive coordinator during the season. Matt LaFleur moved off of him after the 2023 season and hired Jeff Hafley as the new defensive coordinator. With this move, they switched from a 3-4 defensive scheme to a 4-3 defensive scheme.

The Green Bay Packers hope to have a Top 10 offense and defense this season. They will also need to be better on special teams.

Pro Football Focus Has Green Bay Packers Offensive Coordinator Adam Stenavich As One of Eight Coordinators Who Could Potentially Make Headlines During the 2024 Season

During each NFL season, there are always some coordinators that come out of nowhere. Those names are usually mentioned for the next head coaching cycle across the NFL. Pro Football Focus’s Bradley Locker thinks that Green Bay Packers Adam Stenavich is one of eight coordinators in the NFL this season who could make headlines during the 2024 season.

Locker said:

“The Packers’ 2023 offense was a thing to behold, mainly because of how well it coalesced despite very little experience.

In his first year playing as a legitimate pro, Jordan Love flourished, finishing with an 83.2 PFF passing grade. He was helped by the youngest receiving corps in the league, but one that didn’t look fazed whatsoever. The team got real contributions from players like rookies Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave.

As an offensive expert, head coach Matt LaFleur tends to receive the bulk of the praise in operating Green Bay’s well-designed offense, but Stenavich should get his flowers, too. The former Michigan offensive tackle transitioned from coaching the offensive line to coordinating an entire unit, a shift that most would consider daunting.

Assuming the Packers’ offense stays in rhythm this year, the 41-year-old Stenavich should pick up some steam as a rising coaching candidate.”

The Green Bay Packers is one of the youngest teams in the NFL. Stenavich has mentioned this offseason that he wants to use rookie running back Marshawn Lloyd in this offense. Green Bay did not have a true number-one wide receiver in the offseason.

Adam Stenavich also deserves credit for the development of quarterback Jordan Love. For a team that might need a new offensive head coach in 2025, Stenavich might be at the top of some team’s lists.
