Packers handed favorable 2025 travel schedule with over 9,000 fewer miles than last year

After logging one of the most demanding travel schedules in the NFL last season, the Green Bay Packers are in for a bit of relief in 2025.

According to Bill Speros, the Packers are projected to cover 12,929 miles during the upcoming regular season — placing them 26th in the league and third among NFC North teams. While that ranks ahead of the Bears (28th, 12,522 miles) and Lions (29th, 11,411), all three sit comfortably within the top 10 teams with the least travel demands. The Vikings, however, sit on the opposite end of the spectrum, ranking 13th with a steep 19,319 miles.

Yankees vs. Mariners Highlights

The drop-off in distance is notable for Green Bay, who traveled 22,209 miles in 2024, making them a top-10 most traveled team that year. That strain included a trip to Brazil to open the season and a late playoff run that ended in Philadelphia.

Speaking of the Eagles, the Packers will get their rematch under the lights in Week 10, as part of Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field. It’s one of two games that have already been announced on their 2025 schedule. The other? A road trip to Soldier Field to face the Bears in Week 16 on Dec. 20.

Outside of those matchups, the Packers will host heavyweight opponents such as the Ravens, Bengals, and Commanders, while also visiting tough road environments like Dallas, Denver, and Pittsburgh.

Here’s a breakdown of Green Bay’s 2025 opponents:

Home:

  • Baltimore Ravens

  • Carolina Panthers

  • Chicago Bears

  • Cincinnati Bengals

  • Detroit Lions

  • Minnesota Vikings

  • Philadelphia Eagles

  • Washington Commanders

Away:

  • Arizona Cardinals

  • Chicago Bears

  • Cleveland Browns

  • Dallas Cowboys

  • Denver Broncos

  • Detroit Lions

  • New York Giants

  • Minnesota Vikings

  • Pittsburgh Steelers

Fewer time zones and thousands of miles shaved off should give Green Bay one less obstacle as they gear up for another postseason push.
