Aaron Rodgers Mocked by NFL Fans for 3 INT, Struggling in Packers' Loss to Lions | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report

The Green Bay Packers knew that moving on from Aaron Rodgers just days before the 2023 NFL Draft would come with scrutiny.  Any time you decide to move on from a four-time MVP quarterback, naysayers will come out of the woodwork.

However, two seasons and two playoff appearances later has fans thinking this team is at least headed in the right direction.  This off-season will prove to be big if they want to jump into the Super Bowl contender conversation.

However, could Rodgers see himself enter a “win now” scenario?

Although not every Green Bay Packers fan still likes Aaron Rodgers, everyone is curious about what his future holds:

Over the last couple of days, the New York Giants have been the popular choice to be his next landing spot. However, there is still a potential nightmare scenario that the Packers are facing.

Rodgers could still very well end up following once again in the footsteps of Brett Favre and sign with the Minnesota Vikings.

Sam Darnold is a free agent and the Vikings have J.J. McCarthy waiting in the wings. If Minnesota is not sold that McCarthy is ready to start in 2025, but they also don’t want to re-sign Darnold to big money, could they turn to Rodgers as a bridge option?

Garrett Podell of CBS Sports has again linked Rodgers as a potential target for the Vikings this offseason.

Seeing Rodgers play for Minnesota would be a heartbreaking experience for Green Bay fans. Just like it was when Favre did it, watching Rodgers play against the Packers twice a year for a longtime bitter rival simply would not feel right.

Even though he has received a lot of negative criticism, Rodgers can still play. He is coming off of a solid season with the New York Jets in 2024 where he completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Rodgers, 42, probably won’t command a contract like the one he signed with the Jets (three years and $112 million with $75 million guaranteed). To maximize his chances of winning a Super Bowl, he may play on a team-friendly contract. Getting Rodgers for $10 million, like Sam Darnold, could be worth it to the Vikings.

However, would Rodgers ever play for Minnesota?
