The Ohio State Buckeyes have a slew of NFL talent getting ready to hit the draft this April, and considering they won the college football national championship, the program will have many players set to test their fate in Green Bay this year.
While most mock drafts don't have an Ohio State player among the top-ten picks, College Sports Wire is changing that up as columnist Patrick Conn has Josh Simmons going No. 10 to the Chicago Bears. Here's what Conn wrote on the offensive lineman.
"If you asked quarterback Caleb Williams what he needs most, he would likely say some protection. We agree and that is why I am projecting Josh Simmons to come into the fold for the Chicago Bears. Last season, Williams was sacked 68 times, which is the third most in NFL history. The Bears should go heavy on linemen in this draft class," he wrote.Conn also has Emeka Egbuka going No. 25 to the Houston Texans, Jack Sawyer going No. 29 to the Washington Commanders, Donovan Jackson going No. 31 to the Kansas City Chiefs, and finally, JT Tuimoloau to the Philadelphia Eagles with the last pick in the first round.
Any way you slice it, with 15 Ohio State players receiving an invite to his year's NFL draft combine, there should be a scarlet and gray flavor to this year's NFL draft.
