NY Giants' Jaxson Dart Gets Revenge After Viral Pick-Six

It only took one pass at training camp for New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart to go viral.

As soon as the Giants rolled out Dart for his first passing play against their defense on Wednesday, the rookie made the mistake of throwing a pick-six. Since it was caught on camera, Dart became the talk of NFL fans on social media, as the Giants' quarterback position is something many will pay attention to this summer.

On Thursday, Dart got his revenge. After tossing a pick-six on the first play of day one, he got back at his team's secondary with his first pass on day two. Dart threw a touchdown to Jalin Hyatt right away.

Reports suggested that Dart was the clear-cut second-best quarterback on the field for the Giants on Thursday. For the time being, the Giants are confident that nobody will be taking over Russell Wilson's spot as QB1.

Despite many writers and analysts suggesting that Wilson could be a strong candidate to lose his job in 2025, Giants head coach Brian Daboll has the utmost confidence in the veteran. He made that clear ahead of Wednesday's practice.

"These guys will be out here competing, but Russ is our starter," Daboll told reporters.

Over the past two years, Wilson spent time with the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His final run in Denver included a 3,000-yard season with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Wilson led the Broncos to a 7-8 record as a starter.

In Pittsburgh, the veteran quarterback threw for 2,400 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. The Steelers went 6-5 with Wilson as a starter, losing their lone playoff game.

No matter who the Giants roll out, they are gambling. Dart is unknown beyond Ole Miss. While he starred at college, tossing for over 4,000 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions during his final season, the 25th overall pick doesn't have any NFL experience under his belt.
