The Edmonton Oilers are in a fight against the dangerous Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final of the 2025 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. If they are to come through with a series victory versus the Stars, they would need Connor McDavid to be at the top of his game.
He's been that way for most of the playoffs, and in Game 2 of the Stars series, McDavid had an assist on a Brett Kulak goal in the second period of Friday's matchup.
With that helper, McDavid secured another addition to his sparkling hockey resume, as he became the latest player in NHL history to amass at least 20 points in four playoffs in a row.

This latest achievement by the three-time Hart Memorial Trophy winner is also a testament to the Oilers' success in the playoffs over the last few years.
While they have yet to win the Stanley Cup during the Connor McDavid era, the Oilers have reached at least the second round of the postseason each year since 2022, a stretch that includes Edmonton's Stanley Cup Finals appearance in 2024.
McDavid had 33 points in the 2022 playoffs, 20 in 2023 and 42 in 2024.
After the Oilers' 3-0 victory on Friday against the Stars, he now has 20 points on three goals and 17 assists through 13 games in the 2025 playoffs.
