NHL insider suggests massive change in Vancouver Canucks' plans for Elias Pettersson

NHL insider Cam Robinson gave us another massive update on the Vancouver Canucks, revealing new information about Elias Pettersson.

Elias Pettersson has been one of the most discussed players in hockey this year as his feud with J.T. Miller continues to dominate the narrative around the Vancouver Canucks.

For months now, it has seemed like one of the two players would be traded, but we are still waiting for that move.

All signs have pointed to it being J.T. Miller that gets dealt.

For example, former NHLer Paul Bissonnette recently stated that Miller has privately requested a trade from the Canucks. Furthermore, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman also noted that he believes Pettersson has told the team he wants to stay.

Pettersson is the better long-term solution — he is both younger and a less controversial player. This drama seems to be stemming more from Miller than it has from Pettersson.

That being said, the Canucks may end up dealing Pettersson.

NHL insider Cam Robinson, who has been consistently reporting on this issue, revealed that the Canucks are unhappy with the offers they have gotten for Miller and thus may circle back on Pettersson.

Would it really resolve the locker room issues? If Miller is the one causing behind-the-scenes issues, one could see how things wouldn't improve much after a Pettersson trade
