Through his first eight NFL seasons, offensive tackle Cam Robinson never reached free agency. The Jacksonville Jaguars used their franchise tag after the 2020 and 2021 seasons to keep the former Alabama All-American off the open market, and the second time around also signed Robinson to a contract extension that reaches its end on Wednesday.
Robinson finished the 2024 season with the Minnesota Vikings, who obtained him in a trade when their left tackle, Christian Darrisaw, went down with a season-ending injury.
With Darrisaw returning, Robinson will become available this week, likely viewed as the top free-agent tackle after Ronnie Stanley and Baltimore reached agreement on a three-year, $60 million contract on Saturday that will keep him with the Ravens.
Robinson can begin entertaining offers at 11 a.m. CDT Monday, when the negotiating period opens for players who will become free agents at 3 p.m. Wednesday. NFL players with expiring contracts and four seasons in the league will become unrestricted free agents this week.
Robinson is among the 35 players from Alabama high schools and colleges who are on schedule to become unrestricted free agents on Wednesday afternoon. NFL.com lists 12 of them among the best 99 players available in free agency:

Allen is different from the other players on the list. He’s already a free agent after being released by the Washington Commanders on Friday. Allen doesn’t have to wait until Wednesday to sign.
Another former Alabama defensive lineman, Raekwon Davis, is in the same situation. The Indianapolis Colts released Davis on Thursday.
