Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts have met three times throughout their NFL careers, two in the regular season and one in the playoffs. Mahomes and the Chiefs went 2-1 in those contests, including a 38-35 win in Super Bowl LVII.

The most recent matchup came in the 2023 regular season when Hurts and the Eagles walked away with a 21-17 victory.

On Sunday, just one week removed from the big game, the NFL held its annual Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida. During the match, SiriusXM NFL Radio shared an interview with Jefferson where he discussed the upcoming Super Bowl between Philly and Kansas City. The four-time Pro Bowler was asked which team would win before he gave his response.

"I wouldn't want to face neither," Jefferson said. "Those are two difficult defenses to go up against... It's kinda hard not to say KC. Just what they have been doing, the doubts they have been going up against the whole year and still overcoming all of that. I guess you can say the Chiefs."

Jefferson went on to add that he "hopes the Chiefs don't win," seemingly revealing that he will be rooting for the Chiefs.

Jefferson has been one of the best wide receivers in the league since he was selected with the No. 22 pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of LSU. In 2022, he won NFL Offensive Player of the Year, tallying 128 catches for 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns. The Vikings 2024 season came to an end after a wild-card loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

The Chiefs will take on the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
