NFL Rumors: Pete Caroll’s Name Comes Out As Antonio Pierce’s Replacement As Raiders HC

Legendary football coach Pete Carroll is being rumored to join the Las Vegas Raiders as their head coach pretty soon as per an NFL reporter. The Raiders had a very disappointing season and finished ranked fourth in the AFC West after winning only four games and losing 13. In their very last game of the season, the Raiders played the Los Angeles Chargers and lost 34-20.

After their miserable season, the Raiders came out to recently announce that they are firing head coach Antonio Pierce. Pierce only completed a single season with the team, and was promoted to head coach after the previous coach was let go. With Pierce being fired from the team, a number of potential candidates have been discussed as future coaches for the team.

“One name that I would also keep in mind as it relates to the Raiders: Pete Carroll,” Vincent Bonsignore, Vegas Nation reporter tweeted.

Pete Carroll was previously the head coach for the Seattle Seahawks from 2010 to 2023 and this season was a senior advisor. Carroll has been hinting that he wants to get back to full-time coaching recently and may throw in his hat in the ring for the head coach position with the Las Vegas Raiders.

While Mark Davis is the controlling owner of the Las Vegas Raiders franchise, this time Tom Brady will also have an essential say in terms of hiring the right head coach. Brady recently became a limited owner of the franchise and his advice will be crucial in finding the right head coach for the team.

Pete Carroll To Be Interviewed By Chicago Bears For Head Coach Job

On another note, the Chicago Bears seem to be very interested in getting Pete Carroll as their head coach. As per recent reports by ESPN, the Bears have invited Carroll for an interview. Apparently, the team’s management was originally interested in Mike McCarthy who is currently a head coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

However, their request to interview McCarthy was turned down by the Dallas management. Meanwhile, Carroll too seemed quite interested in working for the Chicago Bears after it was reported last month that Matt Eberflus was fired as head coach.
