Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons is defending the New Orleans Saints once again. After giving them their flowers for beating his own team in Week 2, Parsons was outspoken towards C.J. Gardner-Johnson's bashing of Saints QB Derek Carr after the Philadelphia Eagles beat New Orleans in Week 3.

Parsons learned firsthand how the Saints can look when playing complementary football in Week 2. He's not jiving with CGJ's disrespect towards the NFC foe.
Both Trevor Penning and Taliese Fuaga had great reps consistently against Parsons against Dallas, and Klint Kubiak helped them with chip blocks via tight ends a running backs throughout the game, too.
Parsons is notably a leader for Dallas this season. On the broadcast, Tom Brady mentioned how the young star talked to defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer about growing in that role in 2024. Parsons wants to be that guy on the Cowboys defense.

Parsons' reaction was a honest one. He did not make excuses and he took plenty of blame for the defensive struggles from Dallas against the Saints. He noted that their did not play up to standard.
Parsons also says that the effort wasn't good enough by Dallas.
"The effort was not there by all 11. ... You have a standard ... we didn't uphold that standard. ... I'm determined to get this thing right." -- Parsons
The pass rusher also mentioned that he thought Dak played a really good game. That being said, he knows that the offense, defense, and special teams must all be running on all cylinders to win games in this league.
Parsons believes Saints will be a playoff team
During his podcast episode, he also gave New Orleans their flowers. He thinks they are a playoff team and should not have been overlooked entering the season. Parsons explains how talented the Saints roster is, including plenty of veterans.

Parsons' discussion here was really impressive. He discussed the Saints' success on defense against Tom Brady in his final years, New Orleans' Super Bowl win, and Derek Carr's growth. He also thinks the Saints may very well win the NFC South, too.
You can tell that Parsons is simply a gamer that loves his sport and is determined to continue learning and watching plenty of football.
The film from the Saints-Cowboys matchup was tough to watch, according to Parsons.
That is no surprise. Saints rookie OT Taliese Fuaga did not allow a QB pressure against Parsons and co. Overall, the Cowboys' defensive line was completely shut down by the Saints.
Ahead of the season, there were plenty concerns regarding that aspect of this offensive roster for New Orleans. It may end up being a strength under Kubiak.
Clearly, Parsons has more faith in the Saints than his division foe in Philly. We will see who is right by the end of the season.
