The best NFL insider Adam Schefter has reported now, that the Kansas City Chiefs are desperately looking to make a big trade at wide receiver after losing yet another star weapon of theirs, and probably for the entire season.

The Chiefs are 4-0 but are in a terrible position moving forward regarding the amount of injuries piling up for their key players. The team lost Rashee Rice on Sunday, and it will probably be for the entire season with an ACL tear. He was Patrick Mahomes‘ number-one target dating back to the end of last season.

They are already missing both Isiah Pacheco and Hollywood Brown and they may not be getting either of those guys back any time soon. They will need to look for external help to bring in another receiver ASAP. While the Chiefs can try to get through this, and they have been winning every game, they cannot trust that to last throughout the entire season.

Per NFL insider Adam Schefter there are three main trade targets that the Chiefs could pursue to get some much needed talent in the building at receiver:

“You’re going to be looking for teams with records that are not up to par, teams looking to add draft capital knowing that the playoffs aren’t realistic, players who could be in the last year or final years of their contract. So I think the first thoughts are you go to a team like Tennessee,” Schefter said on Monday morning’s “Get Up.”

“If they keep losing and don’t get their season turned around, could they eventually trade a guy like DeAndre Hopkins? The Browns have won one game, would they be willing to entertain a trade for Amari Cooper?” he continued. “I think of Carolina and Diontae Johnson if they don’t start winning football games. Diontae Johnson is in the last year of his contract.”

If they can get any of these three options, that would be a huge upgrade over what they have in their house at the moment. They can no longer trust Travis Kelce to get the job done, as it appears Father Time is knocking on his door. Their speedy rookie Xavier Worthy has looked great, but Mahoems will need more if they want to win their third straight Super Bowl.

Not making a move for the Chiefs would show tremendous arrogance, that they feel they can win with this roster and this many injuries early. While they are 4-0, if not for a few questionable calls, and no calls, they could easily be 0-4.

The refs have been a huge help to this team, and maybe that will continue all the way throughout the season. But if they stop getting miraculous calls or no calls late in the 4th quarter they will also stop winning these games.
