New footage has led fans to claim that the referees aided the Chiefs in their barnburner win over Denver on Sunday.

The defending Super Bowl champions kept their perfect record intact and moved to 9-0 by blocking a field goal from the Broncos in the dying seconds to seal a 16-14 win.

However, new footage shows how an illegal contact penalty on Brandon Jones canceled a Nik Bonitto sack on Patrick Mahomes just before halftime. The call would allow the Chiefs to extend their drive and inch closer before the break.

The Broncos would see their 14-3 lead reduced to 14-10 in the moment that paved the way for the rest of the game.

After X account MLFootball shared an angle aiding the claims of a 'made up' penalty, fans took to the comment section to express their frustration.

Fans claimed that the Kansas City Chiefs were aided by referees in their win over the Broncos

'What was the reff smoking there !!!!!!!!??????,' one user wrote.

'Chiefs should be like 4-5 at this point,' another claimed.

'Every f***ing game the NFL has to rig it for the Chiefs,' a third added. 'S*** is horrendously bad. Not even hiding it anymore.'

'The refs gargle Patrick's b***s pre and post game,' a fourth quipped.

'Not surprised unfortunately,' commented a fifth. 'It’s literally the same thing every week with the refs constantly bailing out the chiefs.'

Speculations about the special treatment from referees floated around early into the season after the Chiefs benefited from a series of questionable calls.

In Week 1, the Chiefs were granted a timeout that should not have counted when defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo ran down the sideline with nine seconds left in the first half. The stoppage was granted despite Andy Reid being the only person allowed to call timeouts in that situation.

The following week, Kansas City benefited from a game-winning pass interference call. While trailing 25-23 against the Bengals, Mahomes launched a pass to Rashee Rice that fell incomplete.

Unfortunately for the Bengals, flags came raining in after the pass was broken up. The referees awarded a pass interference call and gave the Chiefs a chance to kick the game-winning field goal at the last second.

In Week 3, the Chiefs benefited from a no-call against the Falcons. Atlanta trailed the Chiefs 17-22 in the dying minutes when a pass from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Pitts was broken.

Kansas City will take on the Bills in Buffalo on Nov. 17.
