“He’s the hammer. We love the way he runs into contact — no need to be anything else.” – Pete Carroll

Former Las Vegas Raiders running back Brittain Brown — a 7th-round pick in 2022 who played just six games as a rookie — has just been signed by the Chicago Bears, giving him a fresh shot at the NFL after missing the entire 2023 season with injury and spending much of 2024 on the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad.

Brown now joins new head coach Ben Johnson, who’s known for his love of a power running game. Johnson’s relationship with the Raiders once stirred controversy, as he was rumored to be a frontrunner for their head coaching job before later denying interest.

Meanwhile, Brown’s “Draft class brother” Zamir White is turning heads at Raiders camp, with new head coach Pete Carroll openly excited about his performance:

“He’s the hammer. We love how he runs heavy, thick, and tough. That’s what sets him apart.” – Pete Carroll

White seemed to be on his way out after the Raiders selected Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but now he’s positioned to be the primary RB2 behind Jeanty. Carroll has also praised the entire Raiders running back group, from White to Sincere McCormick — a player he says has “naturally quick feet” perfect for the position.

From being on the verge of disappearing from the league to becoming a key storyline heading into 2025, both Brittain Brown and Zamir White are turning this season into a dramatic career comeback.
