NFL Blockbuster Trade Idea Sends Maxx Crosby To Playoff Team

Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders had a rough 2024 NFL season.

The Raiders finished the year 4-13 and with one of the top picks in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. First-year head coach Antonio Pierce proved he was not the guy for Las Vegas, leading to his dismissal from the organization after the regular season.

Crosby was one of the few bright spots for the Raiders, recording 45 tackles, 7.5 sacks and five passes defended in just 12 games played. However, his season ended early after undergoing arthroscopic ankle surgery in December.

Although Raiders owner Mark Davis has stated they are "not trading Maxx Crosby," the defensive end has become a hot commodity among potential trade predictions.

Tyler Brooks of The 33rd Team released his latest NFL trade ideas recently and proposed a trade that would send Crosby to the Green Bay Packers.

"It would take significant resources to convince the Raiders to give up their franchise player in his prime," Brooks wrote. "However, if Crosby wants to play for a contender before the end of his career, then the Packers would be the perfect landing spot."

Brooks has the Packers sending a 2025 second and 2026 third-round pick in exchange for Crosby.

Love and the Packers got off to an 11-4 start to the regular season, but losing the final two games dropped them all the way to the No. 7 seed in the NFC. Their season ended in the wild-card round, falling to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Green Bay was solid at getting to the quarterback, recording 45 sacks as a team. However, not one player was able to reach eight sacks. Adding Crosby, who tallied 14.5 sacks in 2023, would give the Packers a lethal threat on the edge.
