New Commanders Duo Going To Be A 'Problem' For NFL In 2025

The Washington Commanders pushed all their chips into the center of the 2025 table when they swung trades for Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil. General manager Adam Peters doubled down on his work last offseason and got Jayden Daniels two star players at premium positions.

Given how well the offense functioned last season despite Terry McLaurin being a one-man show at times, now he has Samuel to feed off and help take coverage away from him.

And for former NFL player Isaiah Stanback, who was speaking on Good Morning Football, the Daniels/Samuel tandem is going to give defenses nightmares.

"You have Kliff Kingsbury with Jayden Daniels throwing the ball to not only 'Scary' Terry, but some dude they just added by the name of Deebo," Stanback said . "Deebo Samuel and Jayden Daniels. I cannot wait to see this. Not only because I get a chance to watch a lot of NFC East, but these two are going to be a problem."

With Washington's passing attack now getting an upgrade, but so too its run game, offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has several levers to pull in 2025.

And all are going to be tough to stop.

Daniels showed he is the franchise quarterback the organization has been crying out for, and in Deebo, he gets an All-Pro weapon who is versatile to help ease the pressure not only on McLaurin but also on the other players on the field.

Granted, we are projecting Samuel to be "Samuel" after an injury-plagued 2024 season, but if he can return to something similar to his All-Pro form, then he and Daniels will be a problem in 2025.
