NBA announces 2 possible start times for potential Game 6 of Celtics-Magic series

The Celtics will have an opportunity to wrap up their first round series against the Magic on Tuesday night in Game 5 at TD Garden. If Boston falls short, the NBA announced two start time scenarios for the teams if Orlando can pull off an upset and extend the series for a Game 6.

The NBA revealed Sunday night that the Celtics would return to Orlando for a Game 6 with a start time at either 7 or 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night if the Magic win Game 5. Boston currently holds a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series after winning Game 4 at Kia Center on Sunday.

The Celtics will host the Magic in Game 5 with an unusual 8:30 p.m. start at TD Garden. If the Magic win that game, and the Knicks win their series against the Pistons in five games, Boston and Orlando would tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in a game that would be televised on TNT and NBC Sports Boston.

If the Magic win Game 5 and the Pistons also avoid elimination in Game 5 against the Knicks, the Celtics and Magic would tip off Game 6 at 7:00 p.m. with the game being televised on NBATV and NBC Sports Boston locally

Here’s the full remaining series schedule for Celtics-Magic:
