Must-‘Sea’ TV: Bold & Beautiful Disaster Promises to Sink Not One But Two ’Ships!

Bold & Beautiful has set up poor Nick to show Brooke the most disastrous day of boating this side of Gilligan’s Island. In the Tuesday, July 29, episode, the captain was warned that there was a problem with the vessel’s hydraulics system. (Read the full recap.) In other words, the show basically told us the issue that will lead to the accident that… Oh, no. Oh, God, no. he accident that allows Ridge to ride to the rescue.

We already know that a mishap in Italy causes the egomaniacal dressmaker to realize for the gazillionth time that Brooke, not ex-wife and fiancée Taylor, is the love of his life. (Here’s where the tea was spilled.) When he has this lightbulb moment — or would it be a dimbulb moment where he’s concerned? — Brooke right on cue is sure to run blindly back into his arms. That’ll nip her renewed relationship with Nick in the bud and also — who didn’t see this one coming? — stick a fork in Ridge’s engagement to Taylor.

The twist is likely to irritate fans who are tired of Bold & Beautiful replaying the same storylines over and over. (See also: Li secretly keeping Luna alive just like she did Finn.) But there is hope on the horizon. Jack Wagner, who plays Nick, has divulged that he and executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell have discussed a long-term future for his character… and, potentially, Brooke. (More on that here.)

What say you? Are you Team Nick or Team Ridge where Brooke’s concerned?
