Mitchell Robinson Denies Rift With Teammate Over Social Media Post

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has set the record straight after a recent social media post sparked speculation about tension within the locker room.

The drama began earlier this week when Robinson posted a cryptic message to his Instagram story. While it didn’t name anyone directly, some fans and media outlets quickly interpreted it as a jab at a fellow Knicks player. Theories spread fast, and by the next morning, sports talk shows were already discussing a possible rift between Robinson and one of his teammates.

On Thursday, Robinson addressed the chatter during a brief media availability after practice. “There’s no beef. None at all,” he said firmly. “People are reading too much into something that wasn’t even about basketball. Me and my guys are good — we’re focused on winning.”

Robinson went on to explain that the post was personal in nature and had nothing to do with the team. “Sometimes you share something because it’s how you’re feeling in the moment, but it doesn’t mean it’s about your teammates. We’re brothers in here,” he added.

Teammates also downplayed any tension, with one player telling reporters, “That’s just the internet doing what the internet does. We’re locked in for the season.”

The 25-year-old big man has been a key defensive anchor for the Knicks, and the organization is counting on his presence in the paint as they aim for another deep playoff run. Robinson emphasized that the focus is on basketball, not off-court drama.

“In New York, people are going to talk no matter what,” he said with a shrug. “We just keep working.”

With training camp around the corner, Robinson and the Knicks are aiming to shift the conversation back to the hardwood — where it matters most.
