Vikings safety Josh Metellus had some fun on Saturday night, showing support for a fellow Minnesota team. He was in attendance to watch the Timberwolves dominate the Thunder, 143-101, making it so Oklahoma City can no longer sweep.
However, he might have had too much fun.
Metellus posted a photo on his Instagram story of the court, but in his hand, he was holding a warning issued by the stadium.
"You are being issued a warning card that the comments, gestures and/or behaviors that you have directed at players, coaches, game officials and/or other spectors constitute excessive verbal abuse and are in violation of the NBA Fan Code of Conduct. This is the first and only warning that you will receive. If, after receiving this warning, you verbally abuse and player, coach, game official or spectator, you will be immediately ejected from the arena without refund."
He captioned the post, "energy is a hell of (a) drug 😂😂."
The Timberwolves got out to an early lead in the first quarter and were able to keep that momentum going throughout the entire game. Anthony Edwards had a game-high 30 points along with nine rebounds and six assists, while Julius Randle added 24 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
