It has been a few months since the end of season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Since then, the rumor mill hasn’t stopped churning about which Housewives and their husbands are leaving and which are staying. Rachel Fuda, John Fuda, Melissa Gorga, and Joe Gorga recently sat down to discuss the show, the rumors, and the break from filming.
The latest season of RHONJ ended with a bit of a whimper instead of a bang. Sure, it wasn’t the worst season of Housewives to ever air, but most fans felt let down by the show. Additionally, it ended without a traditional reunion, which was one of the worst decisions production could have made.
Recently, the aforementioned RHONJ stars sat down for an episode of PodcastOne’s On Display With Melissa Gorga. They discussed quite a bit, but one of the first notable parts was when John discussed being a part of the show and the small perks associated with it.
He said, “When I started, it was fun, it was exciting. There’s some perks to it, like little things. Like she’s getting a bunch of maternity clothes. That stuff is cool.”
However, he then discussed the downsides as he sees them. John said, “I really don’t like the way that they basically put the men down. I think they put the men down. I think they’re abusive towards men, our careers.”
Rachel then chimed in, ” But I also think too, like, on specific to our franchise, like, it’s gotten so dark that thank God for the guys because what light and airy and fun would there even had been without them?”
They then discuss all the rumors that have recently come out about RHONJ. Specifically, there was a recent report saying three Housewives were confirmed to be staying after Jennifer Aydin said she was coming back.
Melissa said, “It’s so stupid, and you know what I have to say I’m actually proud of? Never has it ever once said Melissa Gorga is staying. Never once has that been said, so that should be proof to Bravo and to everyone else that it’s definitely not me that talks to the people and plants stories.”
Of course, the cast has had a bit of a break from filming, and there is no word on when cameras will go up again. About the break, Rachel said, “When we started the show, our daughter was three months old so we’ve never really been able to, like, enjoy our time as a family of five, like, without the chaos of the show.”
She added, “So I really feel like this time we’ve had off has been like so calm, and like, we’re just enjoying it, and we haven’t really been worried about that kind of stuff.”
Fans can listen to On Display on all podcast platforms as they wait for news regarding RHONJ’s future.
