The history of the Sprinkle cookie:
Melissa told US Weekly, “Everyone knows sprinkle cookies are my absolute favorite. We had that iconic scene [on RHONJ], and I’ve always wanted to come out with my own. It’s been a long time coming.”
Never forget, Melissa’s estranged sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, infamously trashed a box of sprinkle cookies that Melissa brought for her on Christmas.
“Everywhere I go, people give me sprinkle cookies.” Whether it was at “book signings or when they come to Envy.”
“When we go to Dolores Catania’s Battle for Brooklyn’ baseball games, everyone holds up ‘Team Sprinkle’ [signs].”
Melissa took two years finding the perfect baker. “It was all about having an amazing tasting cookie that will make people say, ‘That was the best butter cookie I’ve ever had. I’m going to get it again.’”
“So, there’s been a lot of work, and back and forth, [to] creating the perfect cookie. We definitely have it now.”
Melissa is “looking into [creating] a sprinkle cake and possibly a sprinkle cookie crumb cake” in the future. “We’re going to have a variety of colors, so if you want to bring the sprinkle cookies to a baby shower, there will be pink and blue [options].”
