Melissa Gorga doesn’t know if she’ll return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for season 14.
Amid rumors suggesting she could be “fired” from the Bravo series, which erupted after she was involved in a series of tiffs with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live earlier this month, Melissa spoke of her future on the show amid her ongoing feud with her sister-in-law and co-star Teresa Giudice.
Melissa’s comments came after both Jennifer Aydin and Kim DePaola weighed in.
“I don’t ever want to see anyone be fired from their job,” Jennifer previously told The U.S. Sun of Melissa’s potential exit. “I’m not the boss. I don’t make the rule on if they want them back or not back- whatever Bravo wants, Bravo gets. I’m a very good employee, and I will work with all of my co-workers, please know that!”
“Nobody gets fired! But I trust Bravo knows what they’re doing,” she added.
Meanwhile, according to Kim, Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, will be “lucky if they get another season.”
“I think Teresa is so cemented in [Bravo] that nobody could ever steal her spotlight. She is the queen of Bravo. There is no one that Bravo has given more power to than Teresa. She has [an] enormous amount of power,” Kim explained, suggesting Teresa could have her family members booted from the show.
Although casting announcements for RHONJ season 14 likely won’t be announced until later this year, after filming on the new season begins, Melissa admitted to being unsure if she’d be asked back earlier this week.
“I do not know what Bravo’s going to decide. I have no idea,” she told The U.S. Sun as she attended the Second Chance Rescue’s 3rd Annual Rescue Ball in New York City on Thursday.
That said, Melissa does not believe Teresa has “the power” to have her axed.
“I do not. I mean, I think that the Tre [Huggers] started the rumor, and people went with it, which is crazy to me,” Melissa explained, giving the nod to the cheating rumor she was faced with amid season 13.
“I think this season is brutal. It’s been brutal, and it’s very hard for me to watch. It’s hard for Joe to watch,” Melissa continued. “It’s just been a very sad season for us, and it’s one of those things where some things are out of your control.”
“At this point, we’re just rolling with the punches,” she added.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 17 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
