Maxx Crosby Weighs in on GOAT Debate Ahead of Super Bowl LIX

The Las Vegas Raiders have quite a bit of work to do if they want to be competing for Super Bowls in the near future. For now, they have the chance on Sunday to cheer against their bitter rival, the Kansas City Chiefs, as they play for NFL history by chasing their third consecutive championship.

Kansas City has formed a dynasty with quarterback Patrick Mahomes that could reach heights on Sunday that not even Tom Brady's New England Patriots could reach. Brady and the Patriots won six total Super Bowls, but never three in a row. Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby commented on the two quarterbacks during the  most recent episode of his podcast, "The Rush with Maxx Crosby".

"I mean, only time will tell," said Crosby when asked who is better between Mahomes and Brady. "But I mean, (Mahomes') trajectory, nobody has ever done it. Period. So, I hate to say it, but that dude is (expletive) different. He's like that."

Patrick Mahomes, the main catalyst for the Chiefs' offense, has already won three Super Bowl MVP Awards in his first six seasons as a starter and has an opportunity to earn his fourth on Sunday in New Orleans. By contrast, Brady needed 21 years as a starter to win six Super Bowls and five Super Bowl MVPs, so Mahomes could be right on his heels after just seven seasons as a starter.

Brady recently became the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, and although Crosby has said repeatedly that his favorite quarterback to sack in the league is Mahomes, he could not help but give his rival quarterback his flowers. If Mahomes wins another Super Bowl and MVP on Sunday in New Orleans, Crosby may not be the only one leaning toward him as the game's greatest quarterback.
