Super Bowl Sunday is an event for everyone. Whether you're a fan of the game, only want to watch the commercials, or you're tuned in for the musical guest at halftime, the NFL does it big for its final game of the season.
Plenty of people were sick of watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles play in the league's biggest game, but there was a ton of excitement surrounding rapper Kendrick Lamar's performance at halftime. He is one of the biggest names in the industry right now, but Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby recently said on an episode of "The Rush Podcast" that he thought his performance left something to be desired.
"I'm trying to be as non-biased as possible, I was looking forward to it. I'm a Kendrick fan ... but I was bored for the first half of it, I will say that," said Crosby, before asking the rest of the people at his Super Bowl party what they thought. "Are you guys feeling this? Like, am I a hater? I'm really not feeling this right now."
While Kendrick Lamar did not play all of his most popular songs, he did bring out a few surprise guests. These artists, combined with a few hit songs played later on, were enough to redeem the performance a bit in Crosby's eyes.
"Then SZA came out, my energy kinda changed," said Crosby. "Then Luther came on ... the back half of it started picking up."
Lamar did nothing wrong in his performance, in fact, the critical acclaim was quite high from various groups. You can't please everyone in such a short performance, and it sounds like Crosby had too high of hopes for the Super Bowl halftime show.
