Maxx Crosby has six-word message for Lakers guard Dalton Knecht

Las Vegas Raiders superstar edge-rusher Maxx Crosby has become an iconic sports figure in recent years as he has diversified his ventures off of the football field. He started "The Rush Podcast with Maxx Crosby" over a year ago and signed with Jordan Brand last April.

His rising fame and notoriety have opened up avenues for him to connect with other star athletes and figures, which has kept him in tune with the rest of the sports world. He met Lakers rookie guard Dalton Knecht recently and gave him some advice on a recent podcast episode in the wake of the trade debacle between the Lakers and the Hornets.

"Bro, stay positive," Crosby urged the young player. "Do your thing."

Crosby gave this advice to Knecht when the two met at an event for NBA All-Star Weekend. Both are signed with Jordan Brand, so the two crossing paths was expected to happen at some point, but the timing for their encounter and Crosby's subsequent advice could not have come at a better time for the young guard.

While the Las Vegas star constantly sees his name swirling in trade rumors around the league, Knecht was actually traded to the Charlotte Hornets before the NBA trade deadline. However, the trade was rescinded when Hornets center Mark Williams failed a physical.

Of course, this meant that Knecht would have to rejoin the team that just dealt him during his rookie season, but the young player has seemingly taken the news in stride. Perhaps he is following Crosby's advice about remaining positive and focusing on the things that he can control.
