Maxx Crosby Has Four-Word Response to Idea of Raiders Signing Aaron Rodgers

For a player entangled in trade rumors, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby doesn't sound like somebody who will be on the move. He's continuing to speak about what he'd like to see from his team, which led him to some eye-opening commentary.

It has now been widely reported that the New York Jets are going to release quarterback Aaron Rodgers. That means he'll be a free agent in March and will be free to sign with any team. The Raiders have one of the biggest needs at quarterback in the NFL but a young team betting on a 41-year-old quarterback coming off a down year seems risky.

Not to Crosby. He has officially endorsed the idea of the Raiders signing the superstar quarterback.

"I wouldn't be mad," Crosby said on Tuesday's episode of "The Rush" when talking about the idea of the Raiders adding Rodgers.

While Rodgers isn't the same player who won four MVPs in his prime, he'd certainly be an upgrade over what the Raiders currently have. That said, that would only be a short-term solution to a long-term problem. Rodgers will turn 42 during the 2025 season and likely only has a couple of years left.

If the Raiders can add him and potentially draft a rookie to learn behind him, that could be something that appeals to Las Vegas. At the very least, they would know that their star player would be on board.
