Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has set countless records and milestones throughout his NFL career. Stafford could join the exclusive 60,000 passing yards club with another quality season under his belt in 2024.
Well, the Super Bowl champ must put up similar production to last season as he’s 3,943 yards away from 60K. In 2023, Stafford was voted to his second career Pro Bowl after passing for 3,965 yards. Currently, he is 11th all-time in career passing yards, just 976 yards away from passing Eli Manning for 10th all-time.
Only eight quarterbacks in league history are members of the 60K club — Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and Dan Marino. New York Jets star Aaron Rodgers and Stafford are the lone active signal callers even close to joining them.
Colts backup Joe Flacco (43,936 yards) and Steelers starter Russell Wilson (43,653 yards) are the only other QBs entering this upcoming season with more than 40,000 passing yards.
Another club Stafford could join in ‘24 is the 400 passing touchdowns club. Now this club is a tad out there for the veteran as he needs 43 touchdowns to became the ninth quarterback to ever throw at least 400 touchdown passes. There is a slight silver lining if Stafford could throw that many touchdowns this year:

Until then, the 60K club is well within reach for Stafford, who must stay healthy to have a fair crack at the mark. It appears safe to say that Matthew Stafford still has it as he approaches his 16th NFL season.
Fifteen years in and Matthew Stafford's still got it 🔥
