March Madness: Alabama’s Ryan Williams fills out NCAA Tournament bracket, jabs Auburn

The NIT rescinding an invitation to South Alabama might have been the wildest March Madness story you saw Monday.

Even so, Ryan Williams might give it a run for its money. The Alabama receiver filled out an NCAA Tournament bracket, and he took a shot or two.

To be fair, Williams did play basketball at Saraland High School before taking the college football world by storm, so let’s assume he knows the game.

For starters, it isn’t a huge leap that he has No. 2-seed Alabama winning the national championship out of the East Region, beating No. 1 seed Duke in the Elite Eight round. Even with Tide star Grant Nelson’s health a question mark.

From there, the Tide, per Williams, takes down Houston in the national semifinals, then beats No. 8 seed UConn for the title.

In what would be considered one of the biggest upsets in tournament history, Williams declares No. 1 overall seed Auburn will fall to Alabama State in the first round.

Ouch. A first-round exit to an in-state team?

No doubt a troll job from the Crimson Tide star when talking about his biggest rival.

Of the record 14 teams representing the SEC in the tournament, only three, including Alabama, advance to the Sweet 16, per Williams.

Check out the full bracket above.

College football rivalries never die, even during basketball season.
