The Commodores quarterback was the recipient of a late shove from Moore at the end of a tackle on a play late in the game on Saturday in Nashville.

Moore said he reached out to Pavia on Instagram.

“Just to let him know, my bad,” Moore said.

Moore made clear he wasn’t doing it in a malicious way.

“Just let the game get away from me,” Moore said. “He hit me back. We cool.”

Moore, who also was flagged for kicking the football on the final drive, said he is taking a next-play mentality because he can’t go back and change what he did on the final drive.

“Definitely wish I went about it in a different way,” Moore said. “But can’t fix what I did in the past. Can only fix what’s to come in the future.”

No. 7 Alabama is preparing to play South Carolina. Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said Moore won’t be suspended. DeBoer also added that Moore has had his back since he arrived in January, and DeBoer would have Moore’s back. Moore said that meant a lot.

“Yeah, there were some things he regrets and wishes he probably didn’t do,” DeBoer said. “But he’s owned up to it and we’ve handled it internally and are still handling it internally. He’s a first-class guy. He’s out in the community weekly. That’s just part of who he is, doing things to give back. Understanding the platform he has. Eyes are on our program, a lot of eyes are on him, and this guy plays hard for himself, his teammates.”
