NFL Draft analyst Chad Reuter opines the Baltimore Ravens should trade down with Buffalo so the Bills could select a top-flight receiver.
From the "Ridiculous Department of Ridiculousness,'' NFL Draft analyst Chad Reuter thinks the Baltimore Ravens should swap first-round picks with the Buffalo Bills and then do a fourth-round for a sixth-round swap with the Bills.
This would allow the Bills to move up four spots and possibly put them in position to draft Isaiah Bond or Matthew Golden, both from Texas.
The Bills routinely knock the Ravens out of the playoffs. If it's not the Bills, it's the Kansas City Chiefs.
It begs the question, why would the Ravens want to help the Bills get better? Makes no sense.
Let's trade with the Bills, so they can get even better. They can give NFL Most Valuable Player Josh Allen another weapon on the outside to beat us and compel us to take a cornerback in the first round to compensate.
Ugh! Why do people project such ridiculous trades?
It is almost as ridiculous as the Bills trading their first-round pick last season to the then-defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs so they could draft the fastest man in game, Xavier Worthy.
Oh, wait, that did happen.
Well, just because Buffalo's GM, Brandon Beane, made a bad decision to help the Chiefs beat the Bills, does not mean GM Eric DeCosta has to help the Bills.
There's another problem with this prediction: What's the target, again? A Longhorns receiver? Which one? Either one? They're the same?
This is "ridiculously'' random.
The Ravens should stand pat and draft the best available player they can under the circumstances. There will be a good player available at No. 27 who can help them immediately. There is absolutely no reason to make this trade with Buffalo.
