The Los Angeles Lakers have been rising up the league standings after acquiring Luka Doncic and former franchise star Magic Johnson seems excited for what's to come.
Los Angeles currently sits at 46-29 on the season, ranked as the No. 4 team in the Western Conference standings.
Amid a two-game winning streak for the Lakers, Johnson took to social media, revealing his thoughts on the success of Los Angeles' lineup.
Johnson credited role players Gabe Vincent and Dorian Finney-Smith, who recently helped lead the Lakers to a win over the No. 2 Houston Rockets.
"Laker Nation, I’m really excited about the outstanding play from our bench lately," Johnson said. "Both Gabe Vincent and Dorian Finney-Smith had six threes and ended up with 20 points in the win versus the Rockets. If they can keep hitting threes at that pace the Lakers have will have a deep run in the Playoffs!"
In a 104-98 win over the Rockets, Vincent posted 20 points, four rebounds and one assist while Finney-Smith recorded 20 points, six rebounds and three assists.
While the spotlight usually shines bright on Lakers stars LeBron James and Luka Doncic, Johnson made sure to note that Los Angeles could find real success in the playoffs if their role players continue to produce.
