LOOK: Jalen Hurts pulls a Michael Jordan move for his footwear choice in Super Bowl LIX

Nobody defines championship-level excellence like Michael Jordan. The Chicago Bulls superstar never lost an NBA Finals, and dominated in all six of his appearances on the biggest stage, but does he deserve all of the credit?

It could be said that Jordan owes his success to his very own signature shoes, created of course by Nike. Early on in his career, Jordan generated buzz not only by donning custom shoes that were banned by the NBA due to their color combination, but due to the fact that he kept wearing them night after night with Nike paying the fines.

Now, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is taking a page out of Jordan's book. He's well on the way to winning Super Bowl MVP honors as his Philadelphia Eagles are minutes away from wrapping up a dominant championship win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and he's doing it while wearing the same red and black Jordans that created so many headlines back in the 1980s. Check out the stylish cleats below.

Hurts has already picked up fines this year for wearing mismatched shoes, and now he's stepping into some prohibited colors. Whatever he's doing has clearly been the right thing, as he's on the verge of the championship breakthrough that he and the Eagles have been looking for.

We'll see if he breaks out the shoes again next year as Philly kicks off what should be an absolutely fascinating title defense, including a trip to Arrowhead for what will certainly be a heated rematch with the Chiefs. Whatever he's wearing, stopping Hurts will be a tall task as he and his backfield partner, superstar running back Saquon Barkley, look to keep dominating the NFL for the rest of their time together in Philadelphia.
