Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff got married during the offseason to Christen Harper Goff, who is known for being a top Sports Illustrated model, and the couple is expecting their first baby together, a baby girl. So, Goff has a lot of excitement in his life right now, from the start of a new NFL season to the beginning of Goff being a dad for the first time.
Harper Goff has been in Sports Illustrated multiple times and at this point is a Sports Illustrated vet. Even though Harper Goff was pregnant during the magazine’s most recent shoot, that didn’t stop her from posing for the camera, and she appeared in the magazine’s latest edition.
Now, Harper Goff has shared a personal update for the world to see.
Christen Harper Goff Shares Special Update
So, Goff and his wife, who I’ve interviewed, are expecting their first baby together. It’s certainly an exciting time for the couple.
On Saturday, June 21, Harper Goff took to Instagram to share an update about their baby on the way. She posted a range of photos with Goff, including some where Goff is holding Harper Goff’s stomach in anticipation of the new baby.
“Just waiting for our girl,” she said.
Some of the photos were taken on a beach, so Michiganders are hoping it’s one of the Great Lakes. “When you least expect it she’ll be here. she will make her grand entrance,” one follower commented on Instagram. “Just simply stunning,” another said. “These pictures just tell such a love story.”
Jared Goff’s Wife Talks Pregnancy
Harper Goff has been really open and candid about pregnancy, and she seems to be loving the experience. Appearing on the Sunday, May 11, episode of the “Sunday Sports Club” podcast, Harper Goff talked about her experience shooting for Sports Illustrated while she was pregnant.
“I actually shot Sports Illustrated this year [when] I was 18 weeks pregnant,” she explained. “I was really at this weird time, where I couldn’t really suck it in anymore, but also when I tried to stick it out, like, it wasn’t a real belly.”
She added, “I was bulking for my shoot, it was crazy. It’ll be so fun to look back on those images because she was in there.” Harper Goff also said that the photo shoot “was the most challenging, because I was in this weird transition. I didn’t fully feel like myself, but I didn’t have this bump yet that I was super proud of and could see her and feel her.”
She couldn’t drink, of course, because she was pregnant. “Can’t have a margarita and I’m supposed to be in a bikini,” she said, adding, “It was a really weird in-between [period] [and] in the beginning part, you’re just getting to know your body and seeing it change.”
The couple first announced Harper Goff’s pregnancy in February when she and Jared went to the 2025 NFL Honors ceremony in New Orleans. The two posted on the red carpet, and Harper Goff was holding her tummy, which was a hint.
