Lions Morice Norris Sends Clear Message in First Instagram Post Since Injury

   

After a scary end to the Detroit Lions' preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, things appear to be trending up for Morice Norris. The Lions defender was rushed to an Atlanta hospital with an injury that prompted the exhibition game to be suspended.

Lions Morice Norris Sends Clear Message in First Instagram Post Since Injury

Norris took to Instagram and provided concerned fans with an update. The Lions also revealed that Norris has "movement in all his extremities."

"Morice Norris is in stable condition and has feeling and movement in all his extremities," the Lions detailed in an X message on Friday. "He will remain at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta overnight for observation.

"We would like to thank the Atlanta Falcons organization, the EMS team at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the doctors and staff at Grady for their support."

 

Lions Safety Morice Norris on Injury: 'I'm All Good'

Norris reposted a Bible verse (1 Thessalonians 5:18) to his Instagram Story on Saturday. The Lions defender assured fans that he is "all good."

"Amen amen I'm all good man don't stress it appreciate all the check ins and love," Norris posted.

Norris' previous Instagram Story message from the morning of the Lions-Falcons game started trending on social media after the unfortunate injury. The Lions safety posted a devotional featuring Proverbs 3:5 with the entire message discussing trusting God in uncertain circumstances.

The decision to halt the game was decided by the two head coaches: Raheem Morris and Dan Campbell. Morris reflected on the decision not to resume play.

“Just Dan and myself, respect for his family, Morice Norris, it was that simple,” Morris noted, per Pro Football Talk. “There’s not a lot of times that happens. I can’t sit here and tell you I’ve been through a lot of those or seen a lot of those. I don’t think any of us have.

"That was the moment decision and it was the right thing to do for our football team and the Lions’ football team with what happened tonight.”
