By many accounts, James was the leader of Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite being 39 years old, James played all the games leading up to the tournament, and in the actual tournament itself. And for many fans, James was the best player at the Olympics, as he turned back the clock and put on a vintage showcase.

In his six games at the Olympics, James averaged 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals. For his performances, he was named the Olympic MVP, and named to the All-Star 5 for the tournament along with USA Basketball teammate Stephen Curry.

James was incredible in Paris from the first game, as he showcased his immense talent and leadership skills with Team USA. While he was the oldest player on the team, he was trusted to start every game and play big minutes by Steve Kerr, along with Stephen Curry.

It was an amazing last hurrah for James on the Olympic stage, as he earned his third gold medal and fourth medal overall at the historic games. He tied Carmelo Anthony as the second-most successful men's basketball player for Team USA at the Olympics, right behind Kevin Durant.

LeBron James Showed He Has A Lot Left In The Tank

LeBron James didn't play like he was 39 years old at the Olympics this past summer. Given his minutes and his level of play, no one would be at fault for believing this was LeBron James at the peak of his powers representing Team USA. But it just goes to show how elite a talent LeBron is, despite his age catching up to him now.

For fans, this tournament was special, not just because we got to see a classic LeBron performance, but because they got to see James finally team up with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Getting the three biggest stars of their generation playing alongside each other was a sight to behold, and the legendary trio did not disappoint.

James spoke recently about his experience playing alongside Stephen Curry and had nothing but kind words for Curry and the time the two shared together in Paris. There is no doubt that James had a heck of a time playing with the man who was once his fiercest rival in the NBA.

While James did ball out, there is no denying that he is nearing the end of his career. James is almost confirmed to not be part of Team USA's 2028 Olympic plans in Los Angeles, and he is winding down his NBA career.

With him getting the chance to share the court with his son Bronny next month, along with a general sense of achievement and accomplishment, James has started looking to the future. Recently, it was reported that LeBron wanted to go down the Tom Brady route and go into broadcasting after his playing career was over.

Regardless of what he chooses to do, James will forever be remembered as an icon of the sport, and fans will be keeping a close eye on what he pursues after he calls time on his legendary career.
