The Las Vegas Raiders with Davante Adams and the New York Jets with Aaron Rodgers both hope to solidify a spot in the post-season this year. However, many would agree that the Jets are in a much better position to do so.
Every since the two All-Pros went their separate ways after Green Bay, there’s been rumors they’d one day reunite.
Today Adams spoke about that possibility.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams Makes Admission About New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers
According to a report from Wisconsin Sports Heroics:
Ever since the two all-pros went their separate ways, they’ve kept in contact. From attending the Kentucky Derby together to golf outings. The two have certainly kept their friendship alive.
However, conversations may have taken a little bit of a turn recently:
Raiders WR Davante Adams says former teammate Aaron Rodgers has been “in his ear” lately.
Are we headed for a reunion in NY?? #JetUp

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard reports about Aaron Rodgers lobbying Davante Adams to join the Jets from the Las Vegas Raiders.
In his first eight seasons in the NFL, Adams played for the Green Bay Packers under Aaron Rodgers. Even though Adams has two more years left on his contract (the Raiders can opt out of his contract for a salary cap hit of $15.7 million), there has always been speculation that the playmaker and quarterback might reunite in New York.
Adams didn’t add any fuel to the fire that he wants out of Las Vegas. There was no indication that he had any concerns about the future of the franchise, or that he had any trade demands.
But the interest is certainly there to play with his former QB again.
It would certainly take a lot of things to go right for these two to be teammates again, however, never say never.
It is also worth noting that Rodgers has made it clear he wants to play multiple more seasons in the NFL. Possibly giving Adams enough time to get out of his contract.
