The Las Vegas Raiders have had about as unstable of a quarterback situation as humanly possible this NFL season, and things got scary this past Sunday again at the position.
Former backup turned starter Aidan O'Connell went down with what many internet doctors were speculating to be a serious knee injury in the team's Week 14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Luckily for him and the Raiders, it was confirmed that the second-year quarterback out of Purdue escaped with just a bone bruise.
However, even with O'Connell reportedly wanting to try and play next Monday against the Atlanta Falcons, the Raiders still decided to sign a quarterback. As announced by the team on Tuesday, Las Veags placed running back Zamir White on IR, which allowed them to sign rookie quarterback Carter Bradley from their practice squad.
Bradley, who is the son of Colts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, is familiar with the Raiders system due to the fact he's been with the team's practice squad all year. Las Vegas signed Bradley after he shined in the final two seasons of his college career at South Alabama, where he transferred after spending four years at Toledo.
While it's unclear who the Raiders will turn to between a banged-up O'Connell, Bradley or Desmond Ridder, they clearly are evaluating their options.
