Las Vegas Raiders reward practice squad player after years of hard work and a great game vs. the Chiefs

The Las Vegas Raiders couldn't help but reward a player who deserves it so much, and that's what they did on Tuesday, just days after their close loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. And, that was a loss that really should have been a win, but a botched snap in field goal range with a few seconds left only boosted the Raiders' chances at landing the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

While a lot of fans are mad about the way that game ended and that it was a loss instead of a win, and rightfully so, we learned a lot about this team and some of the players on it. One of those is running back Sincere McCormick, who had a stellar day on Friday.

McCormick had been on the practice squad for two years now, and was elevated from the practice squad before Friday to help with Zamir White and Alexander Mattison banged up. And, help he did. McCormick had maybe the best-rushing performance of any running back this year for the Raiders.

McCormick ran for 64 yards on 12 carries, a 5.3 per-carry average, which is really good. On Tuesday, the Raiders regarded him in one of the best ways possible.

According to the Raiders PR team, they have signed McCormick to the active roster. This is huge for a guy who has put in so much hard work on the practice squad. Hopefully, we continue to see him show out, this time against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend.

Some of the other moves the Raiders made are placing D.J. Turner on IR, meaning he will be out for at least four weeks, which also means he could be out for the year with five games left.

After their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Raiders with play the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, and the Los Angeles Chargers to close out the season.
