Las Vegas Raiders have requested to interview a general manager candidate that not many saw coming

The Las Vegas Raiders are in search of a general manager and have already begun the interviewing process. They have requested to and even talked with at least four general managers that we know of. They want to find the right head coach-general manager pairing, and that is easier said than done. But, it seems that they have the right candidates.

Well, one is a bit weird.

Their most recent candidate is not a guy I would have requested to interview. But, then again, I'm not in these front offices, so what do I know? And, hey, he could be really good at his job, for all we know.

Raiders request to interview Brandon Brown

According to Jonathan Jones of CBS, the Raiders have put in a request to interview Giants Assistant GM Brandon Brown,

Now, Brown doesn't have a bad resume or anything like that, but let's be honest here for a second: what kind of success have we seen from the New York Giants that would make this an interesting hire? What kind of roster building through free agency and the NFL Draft have they done that would make this a big-time hire?

I mean, the Raiders are searching for their next quarterback, and the Giants have been stuck with Daniel Jones for the last few years, until this year.
