The Las Vegas Raiders are riding high off of a huge win over the Baltimore Ravens, coming at the perfect time as they are now set to play the worst team in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers. This should be a great test for them to see if they can get up for the bad teams, the same way they got up for the good teams like the Ravens.
But, before their matchup, they are getting a mixed bag of news. There is some bad, some good, and everything in between. The Raiders have a certain way of doing things in practice, and I can assure you that what you may think will happen, may not always happen.
Let's dive into what the Raiders' Wednesday injury report looks like:
Raiders' Wednesday injury report for Panthers
The first name you may see is Maxx Crosby. Don't worry, don't be scared. He isn't missing Sunday, and I can promise you that. Yes, he probably is injured, but that's because of the way he plays. He's going to play, this was just probably a light day for him, something the Raiders do with him very often, considering he played every single snap the last two weeks. Do not overreact to this.
Christian Wilkins is also limited, and I expect it to be the same situation with him as Crosby. As far as Kolton Miller, well, he misses games and is coming off of an injury, so this could actually be something for him.
Decamerion Richardson, the rookie cornerback, not practicing is a bad thing considering he's been inactive the last few games and hasn't practiced in some time. If he's out for this game, and the next, that means the Raiders should have just put him on IR. That would have opened up another roster spot.
Divine Deablo being out of practice may be a bit of a good thing. You can tell he's playing banged up because he simply just does not look the same.
As far as the good news, Tyree Wilson, who was injured in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and missed last week, is limited. That's good, because it means he may be trending towards playing this week, or maybe even next week against the Cleveland Browns.
The Raiders should be fine overall, however, if Deablo is out, and Tommy Eichenberg is out as he was limited on Wednesday, the Raiders will have to run with Amari Gainer at the starting linebacker spot. We will see, though.
